Terms of Use
Volume · Last updated 21 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Volume iPhone app. By using Volume you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.
What Volume is
Volume is a workout logger. You record the sets, reps and weights you lifted, and it adds them into a single number — your volume score — so you can try to beat it next time.
What Volume is not
Volume gives no fitness, training, medical or health advice. It does not tell you what to lift, how often to train, when to rest, or whether any of it is safe or appropriate for you. It has no coaching, no programmes and no recommendations. It only records what you tell it and does arithmetic on those numbers.
Exercise carries risk of injury. You are solely responsible for what you do in the gym, and for deciding whether any activity is suitable for you. Consult a qualified professional — a doctor, physiotherapist or coach — before starting or changing a training programme. Nothing in this app is a substitute for that.
Subscriptions
Volume requires an auto-renewing subscription.
- Monthly — US$4.99 per month, or Annual — US$49.99 per year.
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. If you cancel before it ends, you are not charged.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may vary by region. We may change prices for future billing periods; you'll be told in advance as required by the App Store.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
Your workouts are yours. They stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database. We cannot access them. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
Keep your own backups. We are not responsible for data lost through device failure, deletion, iCloud problems, or use of the in-app reset.
Acceptable use
Don't reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, redistribute or resell it, or try to circumvent the subscription. You may use Volume only as permitted by these terms and the App Store Terms of Service.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Volume is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, or for any injury arising from your physical activity. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of the above may not apply to you. You may have statutory rights that these terms cannot limit.
Ending these terms
You may stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address with the date above. Continuing to use Volume after a change means you accept it.
